My 2026/03/21 walk to Frederikssund

9:28 My walk started at around 8:30, and the first hour was just terrain I had already passed, so I didn't take any photos.
The day started out very foggy, and I was afraid it would stay foggy and cloudy like this and I wouldn't get any Sun. Nevertheless, I continued and took these photos mostly cause I thought it was kinda æsthetic and liminal, which will be a reoccurring theme during this walk.

9:31 This glove was photographed because I had recently been seeing a suspicious amount of gloves hanging on bushes and trees, so I just took a picture to record this strange phenomenon

10:05 At this point I was walking along the cycleable path and again, just took this photo cause it was liminal and cool. I thought walking along the cycleable path was gonna be the worst place I would be walking, little did I know...

10:22 I reach Værløse. I took a photo of every city/town I entered just to keep track.

11:13 I reach Kirke Værløse. I'm not sure what the purpose of this town was, cause it wasn't much of a town, almost no buildings and I crossed it in 5 minutes.

11:38 I see these weird tree stumps that I thought were kinda creepy and, say it with me, liminal in isolation.

11:50 I supposedly missed this while filtering the photos, but I entered Ganløse at this time.

12:05 These are some sheep I tried to photograph while also snacking on a Tupperware box of lasagna (my lunch) while a dad and his 5 year old daughter judged me from 30 meters away

some time between 12:15 and 12:30 I enter Slagslunde, I don't even have a photo of this one

12:41 - 13:03 These are a bunch of photos I took to show how the fog and the clouds were finally clearing up. From now on the walk was much more pleasant.

13:15 I enter Jørlunde. This was a weird town cause towards the end, I exited the town, crossed a road, and reentered it for 100 meters before exiting it again, so Jørlunde was basically cut in half by a road.

13:19 - 13:35 These are 3 photos I took which I really like. The first one looks a bit like the Windows XP wallpaper, the second one is just a random building in the middle of nowhere, I wonder what its purpose is...
The third photo is my personal favourite photo that came out of this walk, it just looks... so... LIMINALLLLLL!!!!!
My legs also start hurting more at this point

13:46 This is what the road I was walking down looked like. It's honestly so peaceful to walk down places like these cause it's in the middle of the fields, almost no cars, and it feels so liminal I love it
(If I had a nickel for every time I said "liminal" in this album, I'd be rich)

14:00 I enter Sundbylille, a nice little town I'd love to have a summer house in.

14:18 To think I was 38 km away from where I started, and there were only 2 km left filled me with determination, which was not enough for the torture I was about to endure.

14:32 I enter Frederikssund. My legs hurt so much I'm basically limping and walking like a disabled person or a really, really old person. My pace has slowed down significantly and every second that passes feels like hours. I just had one goal in mind: reach the beach.

15:17 Finally, after almost 7 hours and 40 kilometers of nonstop walking, I finally made it to the beach. I sit down for half an hour and realize walking that kilometer to the train station to get back home will be torture.

2026/03/22, 17:24 So here we are. After this when I got home I felt really sick, I got a fever from exhaustion and I generally didn't have a great time. The next day my legs still refuse to walk normally, but I feel much better and I'm sure I'll be able to walk normally by Tuesday. I hope you enjoyed this little adventure I had :)
